Monday, March 12, 2018 Grace Reid and Tom Daley secure silver in Beijing World Series event Grace Reid and Tom Daley made a near-perfect start to the competitive season, claiming silver in the first Fina Diving World Series event of 2018 in Beijing. The British duo clinched second place in the Mixed 3m Synchro with their final dive, earning their highest score of 73.47 for their forward 3.5 somersaults pike to leapfrog the Canadians and Italians. Gold went to the Chinese pair of Han Wang and Zheng Li, who finished with a score of 331.50 to 308.67 for Reid and Daley. Elsewhere in the event, Scotland's Reid and Cambridge-born Daniel Goodfellow both competed in the individual 3m Springboard semi finals, finishing 5th and 6th respectively. Daley also scooped a bronze with Goodfellow in the Men's Synchro Platform, and there was a further bronze for teammates Matty Lee and Lois Toulson in the Mixed Synchro Platform. The next leg of the FINA World Series will take place in Fuji, Japan from March 15 to 17.
