Young Divers taste success in Eindhoven

A team of young Scottish divers travelled out to the Netherlands last weekend to compete in the Eindhoven Cup, with success coming in the form of an impressive total of 11 medals.

The squad made up of seven divers from both the Scottish Youth Squad and Youth Development Squad enjoyed a positive experience representing Scottish Swimming. The event, which is in its 21st year, welcomed diving teams from across the globe and is currently the largest international diving event in Europe.

Team manager Nuala Deans said “Overall I believe it was a successful competition which provided a good opportunity for divers to prepare for upcoming SASA levels and/or Junior Elites. We were very pleased with the performance across the board.”

Team coach Judy Wardlaw added “This event was a good chance for the divers to review their current position against their season goal, and for some of them it was their first time representing Scotland.”
