In light of the latest information, recommendations and news from the Scottish Government, we have taken the difficult decision to postpone the following National Events: the Scottish National Open Short Course Masters & Senior Age Group Championships (27-28 March) and the Scottish National Age Group Swimming Championships (1-5 April).

We are planning to reschedule both of these events and will continue to consult with our National Committees, the Home Nations, British Swimming and other partners to determine the best way forward. Scottish Swimming, Swim England, Swim Wales and British Swimming will continue to follow the public health advice from our respective governments.  We anticipate the advice provided will change over time and we shall adapt our plans accordingly, communicating any changes as quickly as possible.

We understand the disappointment and time sensitive nature of this announcement, however, after today’s discussions and the need for keeping everyone’s health and welfare at the forefront of our minds, we believe this is the right decision to make at this time.

We will issue further information about the postponement and rescheduling of these events once discussions have been completed. This is an ongoing situation and as such any decision taken may have to be subject to further review as greater insight is gained into COVID-19.

In the meantime please continue to follow advice and make use of the following online resources for up to date information about Coronavirus:
