Volunteers Week 2020

We may not be able to do much at the moment in and around a pool, however, our sport continues to flourish thanks to our dedicated army of volunteers in clubs across the length and breadth of the country.

This week we celebrate Volunteers' Week in Scotland, and is a time to say thank you for the fantastic contribution volunteers make. The campaign was established in 1984 by Volunteering England, which merged with NCVO in 2013. NCVO now leads this UK-wide campaign along with Volunteer Now (Ireland), Volunteer Scotland (Scotland) and WCVA (Wales).

Each day we will focus on an individual who volunteers within one of our disciplines, finding out how they started volunteering, what they get out of it and a quick call to action to help recruit more of these special individuals.

Clubs across the country are always looking for volunteers, and no matter how much you can give, we are always grateful for anyone who uses their time to support our community across Scotland.

If you want to meet new people, make lifelong friends and feel like you're making a difference then why not become a volunteer? If so, for more information please visit our Volunteering Section of the website.

Tomorrow we kick off our series of Q&As withLinda Atkinson from Synchronised Swimming.
