Tuesday, December 15, 2020 Tighinn CÒmhla hailed a success Tighinn Comhla logo designed by our Young Ambassadors We are delighted with the uptake for Tighinn CÒmhla and are very grateful to the many people working hard in their District roles that have made it possible. Round 1 - 841 athletes from 29 clubs with 3359 entries Round 2 - 1907 athletes from 49 clubs with 8730 entries Round 3 – 2000 athletes from 56 clubs with 9287 entries In all, 2910 athletes swam 21376 swims with their 15542 best times for the events available recorded into the final top times reports and leader boards. These can be found on District websites, swimscotland and our dedicated Tighinn CÒmhla site – www.scotswimrankings.scot Ahead of 2021, some of our Young Ambassadors created a logo for this new event. The Celtic knot style design represents the four districts coming together to create a single (virtual) event. Tighinn CÒmhla 2021 will be with us in the New Year with more events to attract and bring together a bigger range of athletes. We hope that clubs will continue to take part in their in-house racing and virtual meets to help provide a competitive focus for their swimmers. When it becomes possible we encourage clubs to take part in competition with clubs that they train with, in the same pool using the Scottish Swimming Club Training Back to the Water Guidance and Racing Considerations document, which can be found HERE. Further guidance for the management of a wider range of competitions will become available in January.
