Tuesday, July 27, 2021 Murdoch through to breaststroke semi-finals Ross Murdoch - into the Olympic semi-finals for 200m breaststroke He’s had the longest to wait of all the Scottish swimmers, but Ross Murdoch finally got his Olympic campaign started today, with the heats of the 200m breaststroke. Murdoch and GBR team-mate, both raced in the first of the seeded heats so had an anxious wait to have their semi-final places confirmed. Both made it through and will be back in action at around 3.20am tomorrow morning. Newly crowned Olympic Champion, Tom Dean, brought the GBR 4x200m freestyle relay team home and booked a spot in tomorrow’s final. The quartet of Matt Richards, James Guy, Calum Jarvis and Tom Dean were the fastest qualifiers with a time of 7:03.25. We expect Olympic silver medallist, Duncan Scott, to feature in the line-up for the final. The schedule and results for the swimming meet can be found HERE. Finals begin at 2.30am GMT.
