Dawson and Scott recognised in New Years Honours

Olympic gold medallists, Kathleen Dawson and Duncan Scott, have been awarded MBEs in the New Years Honours list, in recognition of their services to swimming.

The University of Stirling athletes were amongst a number of individuals from the aquatics community to have had their Olympic and Paralympic success in Tokyo recognised, with Dawson winning gold as part of the Mixed 4x100m Medley Relay, while Scott returned from Tokyo with four medals: one gold (4x200m freestyle relay) and three silver medals (200m freestyle, 200m IM, 4x100m medley relay) and in doing so became Britain’s most successful athlete from a single Games.
