Coached Classes in Your Area These adult coached sessions called Skills and Drills and Powerswim are available in local facilities around the country. There are different session types available depending on your ability and level of fitness: Skills and Drills These group sessions are suitable for able recreational swimmers who would like to improve their technique and fitness through learning new skills and drills. They are ideal for those wishing to improve their front crawl breathing or perhaps work on one of their weaker strokes. If you would like to get more out of your swimming sessions or are perhaps training for a participation event or triathlon then these sessions are ideal for you. They will help you to get more out of your swimming in an encouraging and social environment. Sessions generally last between 30 to 45 minutes. Powerswim These group sessions are suitable for more able, intermediate or advanced swimmers looking for a more challenging workout. They are ideal for improving your swimming technique, learning to use swimming equipment and developing your swimming fitness. Sessions generally range from 30 minute lunchtime sessions to 1 hour evening sessions. This session is taken by an instructor giving adults the chance to improve and develop their swimming skills with the instructor’s advice. Skills & Drills is more suited towards swimmers who can swim lengths but require more work on their technique. Classes are on Wednesdays from 12:45pm – 1:15pm and Fridays from 5:30pm – 6pm.
